You don’t need to know how to pose

You don’t need experience in front of a camera to get a good headshot. I will guide you through your posture, angles, and expression throughout the session.

Tell me where you’ll use your photo and what you want it to communicate. Knowing wether you’re updating your LinkedIn profile, joining a new company, or refreshing your business website helps me with a starting point for your session.

How it works

1. Book your session

Schedule your appointment and pay the deposit at booking. Let me know if you have a specific requirements for your headshot. I can get the right backdrop and lights ready ahead of our session if I know the type of look you’re going for.

2. Get ready for your session

Please see the FAQs below on how to prepare for your session.

3. Come to the studio

I’ll photograph you during your 30-minute session, with direction along the way. The remaining balance will be collected at the session.

4. Choose your favorite photo

Within three business days of your studio session, you’ll receive an online gallery of 10 – 20 unedited preview photos. Choose the photo(s) you’d like retouched and let me know you’ve finalized your selection. Your retouched photo(s) will be delivered digitally within three business days.

Common questions about studio headshot photography

What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?

If the Client cancels or reschedules the booking at least 3 business days before the session, the deposit will be refunded minus any pre-approved session expenses (e.g., venue rentals, props, or specialized equipment).

We are unable to fill sessions on short notice. Therefore, cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 3 business days before the session will result in forfeiture of the deposit. If the session is rescheduled less than 3 business days in advance, a new deposit will be required for the rescheduled session.

What is the late arrival and no-show policy?

Sessions are scheduled for 30 minutes, starting at the booked time. To keep everyone’s sessions on schedule, the Client’s session will end 30 minutes after the scheduled session start time, even if the Client arrives late.

We strongly encourage our Clients to arrive 10 minutes before the session start time to allow time to find us, park, fix the wardrobe and take a breather before the shoot. Our sessions start and end on scheduled time. Client who is late to the session will have that amount of time deducted from the allotted session time.

If the Client arrives more than 10 minutes late, the Photographer may not have adequate time to deliver high-quality results. Therefore, if the Client is more than 10 minutes late or fails to show up, the session will be considered cancelled and the deposit will be forfeited.

Booking for more than one person?

I specialize in photographing teams and new employees. Contact me to arrange multiple appointments or discuss matching your company’s existing headshots.

What should I wear?

There is no wrong or right clothing, but here are a few suggestions. Choose clothing that fits well, you enjoy wearing and reflects how you want to present yourself professionally to your target viewer.

Avoid short sleeves. Longer sleeves create a cleaner look when your headshot is cropped at chest level, without bare arms being cut off at the edge of the photo.

Can I choose my background?

White is a clean, timeless background and the default for my headshot sessions. I also offer other options, which you can explore on the studio page.

If you’d like a different background, please let me know ahead of time so I can set it up before our session. I’m also happy to help you choose a background at the beginning of your session, but choosing and setting up a background will take up part of your session time.

Can I purchase more than one photo?

Yes. Your studio session includes one professionally retouched photo. Additional photos are $75 each. You’ll be able to make your selections from your preview gallery.

What if I need my headshot by a specific date?

It typically takes 7 to 10 days to get your retouched photo after the session. In some cases, I am able to expedite the delivery. Contact me before booking so I can confirm whether the session and editing schedule will meet your deadline.

Can I download preview photos?

No. Preview photos are for selection only and may not be downloaded, captured in screenshots, or used for any purpose. Only photos that have been paid for, retouched, and officially delivered to you may be used.
